Como se observa en la gr\u00e1fica, la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana fue el quinto pa\u00eds de Am\u00e9rica Latina con el precio del gal\u00f3n de diesel m\u00e1s caro (US$5.11\/gal\u00f3n), siendo superior al de pa\u00edses como Honduras (US$4.35\/gal\u00f3n), Hait\u00ed (US$3.90\/gal\u00f3n) y El Salvador (US$3.37\/gal\u00f3n). La competitividad de los bienes producidos en la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana es disminuida con relaci\u00f3n a otros pa\u00edses de Am\u00e9rica Latina debido al precios del diesel. Este, al igual que el de la gasolina y otros combustibles, es un componente fundamental de la estructura de costos del transporte terrestre de carga, y como gran parte de los bienes deben ser transportados desde el lugar en donde se producen hacia donde se consumir\u00e1n, los costos de transporte influyen en el precio final que pagar\u00e1n los consumidores (<a href=\"http:\/\/crees.org.do\/es\/gr%C3%A1fica-del-d%C3%ADa-precio-de-venta-de-la-gasolina-pa%C3%ADses-de-am%C3%A9rica-latina\">Ver m\u00e1s: Gr\u00e1fica del D\u00eda: precio de venta de la gasolina:
