En promedio, entre 2011 y 2013, los pa\u00edses de la regi\u00f3n destinaron el equivalente al 0.9% de su PIB a subsidios para la energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica. Los tres pa\u00edses que mayor proporci\u00f3n de su PIB destinaron a subsidios el\u00e9ctricos fueron: Hait\u00ed (2.7%), Nicaragua (2.1%) y la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana (1.9%). En la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana se necesitan reformas para despolitizar la administraci\u00f3n de la distribuci\u00f3n del sector el\u00e9ctrico. Los subsidios tienen origen por la forma en que son administradas las empresas de distribuci\u00f3n principalmente en lo relativo a la facturaci\u00f3n y reducci\u00f3n de fraudes.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"pvc_clear\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"pvc_stats all \" data-element-id=\"19385\" style=\"\"><i class=\"pvc-stats-icon medium\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><svg
