En cuanto a Rep\u00fablica Dominicana, para este a\u00f1o fue el tercer pa\u00eds con mayores ingresos por turismos, registrando tan solo USD$136.0 millones menos que Brasil. M\u00e9xico y Brasil, se encuentran posicionados en primer y segundo lugar en los ingresos totales por turismo y en la puntuaci\u00f3n del \u00cdndice de Competitividad de Turismo y Viajes. Sin embargo, se debe tener en cuenta que no necesariamente unos altos ingresos por turismo indican una alta competitividad en el sector turismo debido a que hay otros criterios y medidas que influencian la calificaci\u00f3n obtenida.
