Seg\u00fan la Balanza de Pagos, registra los ingresos que genera el turismo como parte de las exportaciones de servicios de la econom\u00eda dominicana.&nbsp; Los ingresos se mantienen en constante crecimiento durante el per\u00edodo mostrado alcanzando los US$6,723.3 millones durante todo el 2016.&nbsp; En promedio, el crecimiento de los ingresos generados por turismo ha sido de 11.0% durante los \u00faltimos 36 a\u00f1os. Desde 1990 a 2000 los ingresos generados por el sector se han triplicado, pasaron de US$817.6 millones a US$2,860.2 millones (un aumento del 250%). En el 2016, los ingresos generados por este sector fueron 2.35 veces el monto generado en el 2000, a pesar de disminuir a ra\u00edz de la crisis financiera de 2008. Del mismo modo que los ingresos, la construcci\u00f3n de habitaciones de hoteles y los empleos generados por el sector tambi\u00e9n han experimentado un alto crecimiento durante las ultimas tres d\u00e9cadas.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"pvc_clear\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"pvc_stats all \" data-element-id=\"19690\" style=\"\"><i class=\"pvc-stats-icon medium\"
