El vicepresidente ejecutivo del Centro Regional de Estrategias Econ\u00f3micas Sostenibles (Crees) consider\u00f3 que a la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana le conviene fortalecer su econom\u00eda sin acuerdos con el Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI) que incrementen el endeudamiento.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Ernesto Selman, al hacer la observaci\u00f3n, explic\u00f3 que   ning\u00fan pa\u00eds se ha desarrollado bajo la sombrilla de ning\u00fan organismo internacional, y que las naciones que  han logrado salir de sus crisis lo han hecho con liderazgos internos.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“Vemos el involucramiento del FMI en  la economia local como pernicioso, deben ser los sectores internos que se pongan de acuerdo para establecer los modelos de gesti\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica”, expres\u00f3.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Al hacer el planteamiento present\u00f3 algunas propuestas que, de aplicarse, no ser\u00eda necesario incrementar el endeudamiento.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Entre esas,  reducirle al presupuesto de gastos del Gobierno RD$60,000 millones,  cambiar el sistema impositivo de forma que tenga la eficiencia del que se instaur\u00f3 en 1990, y eliminar las distorsiones del sistema el\u00e9ctrico.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Selman, quien ofreci\u00f3 sus declaraciones en el Almuerzo del Grupo de Comunicaciones Corripio, consider\u00f3 que por lo pronto no habr\u00e1 otro acuerdo entre el FMI y el pa\u00eds.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 “En  en el comunicado emitido por el organismo multilateral en noviembre pasado, se planteaba un acuerdo de monitoreo, nada m\u00e1s, y se anunciaba la visita de una misi\u00f3n en el primer semestre de 2013, de manera que no se avisar\u00e1 un nuevo convenio”.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
