Los economistas Miguel Ceara Hatton y Ernesto Selman consideraron ayer que un aspecto importante del informe del Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI) es que recomend\u00f3 la aplicaci\u00f3n de reformas estructurales para acelerar el crecimiento potencial de la econom\u00eda dominicana y hacer avanzar la inclusi\u00f3n social.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Para Ceara Hatton, ese tema es vital, debido a que el crecimiento econ\u00f3mico del pa\u00eds no genera inclusi\u00f3n social.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Cree que el equilibrio macroecon\u00f3mico interno se ha logrado a costa de aumentar la deuda, lo cual est\u00e1 impl\u00edcito en el documento del FMI.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Se\u00f1al\u00f3 que el FMI expresa preocupaci\u00f3n por el crecimiento de la deuda, que representa cerca del 50% del PIB, y que genera intereses muy altos.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Un aspecto importante del informe del FMI es, seg\u00fan Ceara Hatton, encarar el problema el\u00e9ctrico.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

De su lado, Ernesto Selman, vicepresidente ejecutivo del Centro Regional de Estrategias Econ\u00f3micas Sostenibles (CREES), dijo que la nota del FMI sobre la econom\u00eda dominicana brinda un panorama muy optimista y se refiere a un crecimiento de cerca del 7% del PIB para el 2015, que es la misma estad\u00edstica que ofrece el Banco Central.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Expres\u00f3 que a pesar de esa visi\u00f3n, el FMI est\u00e1 dando unas advertencias muy importantes, como el fortalecimiento continuo del marco institucional para mejorar los resultados macroecon\u00f3micos.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dijo que el FMI recomienda reformas estructurales para promover el crecimiento potencial de la econom\u00eda y mayor inclusi\u00f3n social. Desde hace a\u00f1os el CREES ha abogado por esas reformas, se\u00f1al\u00f3.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
