Los economistas Luis Vargas y Ernesto Selman consideraron ayer que hace falta voluntad pol\u00edtica para enfrentar la informalidad en el pa\u00eds.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Sin embargo, Vargas precis\u00f3 que tambi\u00e9n hace falta que se cumpla con la ley.
Se\u00f1al\u00f3 que decir que la informalidad es el principal reto econ\u00f3mico del gobierno, como plantea la Organizaci\u00f3n Nacional de Empresas Comerciales (ONEC), es desconocer el problema.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Consider\u00f3 que las medianas o grandes empresas producen y reproducen la informalidad, debido a que el salario que pagan no da para satisfacer las necesidades de los trabajadores, por lo cual para sobrevivir se dedican a actividades por cuenta propia.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“Eso no se quiere entender en el pa\u00eds : la mediana y gran empresa reproducen con creces lo que llama informalidad”, asegur\u00f3.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

De su lado, el vicepresidente ejecutivo del Centro Regional de Estrategias Econ\u00f3micas Sostenibles (CREES) estima que hace falta una voluntad pol\u00edtica f\u00e9rrea para enfrentar la informalidad.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Selman dijo que la informalidad surge cuando las reglas del juego son onerosas para cumplirlas, por lo cual los ciudadanos terminan haciendo sus actividades fuera del sistema legal.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

En el pa\u00eds, a su juicio, existen dos \u00e1reas donde se promueve la informalidad: en la parte tributaria, debido a las altas tasas y los diferentes impuestos que afectan el costo de vivir y hacer negocios; y en el C\u00f3digo de Trabajo, el cual impone un costo laboral no salarial. Favoreci\u00f3 la aprobaci\u00f3n de reformas que evitar\u00edan el incentivo a la informalidad, lo que incluir\u00eda al C\u00f3digo de Trabajo.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
