Este incremento refleja un Estado que ha ampliado su presencia en la econom\u00eda, financiando su expansi\u00f3n principalmente a trav\u00e9s de impuestos y deuda. Sin embargo, no necesariamente mayor gasto p\u00fablico se traduce en mayor bienestar, ya que este proviene de recursos que podr\u00edan estar disponibles para los ciudadanos y las empresas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Si llevamos este gasto a cuanto le cuesta a cada ciudadano, este pasa de 107 d\u00f3lares por persona en 1990 a 2,197 d\u00f3lares en 2024, lo que refleja un crecimiento de 1,912% lo que equivale a 20 veces lo que fue en 1990. Es importante evaluar si este gasto se traduce en beneficios tangibles en servicios e infraestructura o si simplemente ampl\u00eda el tama\u00f1o del gobierno sin un retorno proporcional.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El aumento constante de la deuda p\u00fablica, como resultado del crecimiento del gasto, presenta desaf\u00edos significativos. Este incremento no solo complica el pago de los compromisos ya adquiridos, sino que obliga al pa\u00eds a incurrir en m\u00e1s endeudamiento para cubrir las necesidades fiscales, generando un c\u00edrculo vicioso. Este escenario de las finanzas p\u00fablicas limita las oportunidades para la inversi\u00f3n privada, que es fundamental para la creaci\u00f3n de riqueza y empleo productivo, y deja al pa\u00eds m\u00e1s vulnerable ante posibles crisis econ\u00f3micas internacionales.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En Rep\u00fablica Dominicana, debe existir una mejor gesti\u00f3n en donde no contin\u00fae incrementando el gasto y el mismo sea sometido a un an\u00e1lisis costo beneficio, en el que se eval\u00fae la importancia del gasto y luego se mida el impacto econ\u00f3mico y social que genere; es decir que es necesario una evaluaci\u00f3n previa y posterior para medir la efectividad del gasto. Lo recomendable es que dichas evaluaciones sean llevadas a cabo por instituciones independientes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En lugar de depender de un gasto p\u00fablico cada vez m\u00e1s alto, es necesario que se desarrollen pol\u00edticas que promuevan un clima de negocios competitivo y atractivo, al reducir barreras burocr\u00e1ticas y promover un mejor entorno para poder vivir y hacer negocios en la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana.
